Two words, one meaning here

A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Local storage does a similar job but stays in the browser instead of being sent back to the server with every request. VideoMatch uses both, and this page treats them together because the choices you have over them are the same.

What we store, by category

Essential: your session

Holds your guest identity, or your login if you signed in, so the site knows you are the same person from one page to the next and can connect your calls and purchases to you. Without it you cannot use video chat.

Essential: 18+ confirmation

When you confirm you are an adult, the site saves a flag in local storage under the key "videomatchfun:age-confirmed:v1". It stays in your browser and only exists so the question is not asked again on every visit.

Security

Helps us detect abuse and keep sessions from being hijacked. This is part of the essential set.

Preferences

Remembers small choices, such as language or display settings, between visits.

Analytics

Counts which pages are visited and how people move through the site, so we can see what is broken or confusing. See the next section.

Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to measure traffic. When it runs, it sets its own cookies to tell new visitors from returning ones and reports aggregated figures to us — visits, pages viewed, the site that referred you, rough location and device type. Google processes that data under its own privacy policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site that uses it with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Doing so has no effect on how VideoMatch works for you.

Payment pages

If you buy coins or VIP, the payment step is handled by a third-party processor. Its pages may set their own cookies, governed by that processor's policies rather than this one.

Clearing or blocking it

• Clear site data for videomatch.fun in your browser settings to remove everything above at once. Your guest session and the 18+ confirmation go with it, so you will be asked again next time.
• Block cookies and storage for this site entirely if you prefer. The age question will then appear on every visit and you will not stay signed in, which in practice means video chat will not work.
• Use a private or incognito window if you want everything wiped when you close it.
