Flirting is fine. Nudity, pressure and cruelty are not. Here is where the lines are and what you can do when someone crosses them.
Effective
What belongs here
VideoMatch is an adult space for meeting strangers face to face. Small talk, banter, compliments, flirting, arguing about music, saying goodbye after thirty seconds — all normal. Everyone on the other side of the screen is a person who chose to be there, and the rules below exist so they keep choosing to.
The short test: if you would not do it on a first date in a busy café, do not do it on camera.
The hard lines
- No nudity, no sexual acts
- Conversation between adults can be flirty. Undressing, exposing yourself or performing sexual acts on a call is not allowed, and neither is pressuring the other person to.
- No one under 18, ever
- Minors are not allowed on VideoMatch. Any content that involves or sexualizes a minor is removed immediately and the account is closed.
- No violence or hate
- No threats, gore, terror-related material, or attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or nationality.
- No harassment
- If someone skips you or says no, that is the end of it. Stalking, insulting, intimidating or trying to extort other users gets you removed.
- No scams or selling
- No advertising, spam, fake promotions, links to other sites, or asking people for money or payment outside the platform.
- No faking who you are
- Do not impersonate another person or a brand, and do not use someone else's photos as your own.
The other person's privacy
Do not screen-record, screenshot or otherwise capture another user without their consent.
Do not ask for, collect or post anyone's personal details — full name, address, workplace, social media accounts — unless they chose to share them with you. And think twice before sharing your own: a stranger is still a stranger after a good conversation.
Your tools: skip, block, report
- Skip moves you to the next person. Use it freely; nobody is owed an explanation.
- Block limits further contact from that person.
- Report flags the call for review. You can report and block at the same time.
Reporting from inside the call is the fastest route because it carries the details we need. If a problem shows up later, or it involves a payment, use our contact page.
What happens when rules are broken
We look at how serious the breach is and whether it has happened before:
- a warning, for minor or first-time problems;
- temporary limits on matching, messaging or other features, for repeated or moderate problems;
- permanent removal of the account, for serious or repeated breaches.
Anything involving a minor skips straight to removal — see child safety. The full legal version of these rules is in our Terms of Service.
